IN MEMORY OF MY BEST FRIEND & SISTER IN LIFE SHERRY MATEER OF CUDDLESPICE COCKAPOOS
Sherry lost her 20 year battle with oral cancer on January 15, 2010. Sherry was my best friend and sister even though we didn't share the same blood we did share a bond greater than any DNA. She was a remarkable woman in so many ways. We met in the spring of 2002. I had answered an ad for some help she needed and from the beginning she was special. Easy going, smart, talented and a true friend. Before long I went from yard work to working along side of her and her cockapoos. We had the same love for dogs and I truly believe this is what brought us together.
I fed, cleaned, and played with them, bathed and even groomed the little guys. I assisted in the breeding, birth and raising of the puppies. Sherry was very educated about her dogs and the breed. She taught me from the beginning of breeding through the placement of puppies. Sherry knew how much I loved the dogs and we were always looking for ways to make their life even better.
She groomed me into starting my own business of raising cockapoos. With her, help, knowledge, guidance and her selection of puppies, I am confident I am able to offer the same quality cockapoo to loving families as she did for so many years. There will never be anyone that will fill her shoes. I truly loved this spectacular woman and I will always do my best to be the kind of person she was and I hope one day I will be as well known as she was for this amazing breed of dog.
Sherry and I shared so many memories together in the short time we had. Both good and bad from our families to our dogs. We often could be found out shopping, going to yard sales, dog events, or just to a movie. We would refer to each other as Thelma and Louise. One day we were going to ride off into the sunset and enjoy life, but she went ahead of me to a life with no pain or tears. To a much better place. So until we meet again take care of yourself and all our four legged friends.
